"You had guts, now clean them off my carpet." is the first single off of †he first child's currently untitled upcoming EP to be released early 2022. The tracks charging riffs and dynamic drum fills lay the foundation for an energetic track with back and forth battling between tracks vocalists, one of which features Chris Lawson from legendary Auckland post-hardcore band Chasing South.

With their first release since 2020, †he first child looks to make a statement with their newfound sound of melodic post-hardcore, a breakaway from their previous mathcore-tinged sound.
